I know there are already a lot of disucssions about this topic but I wanted to go a little bit into more detail of what I'm looking for before I go out and buy one. I have Eczema so my skin is fairly dry 90% of the time and my hands tend to sweat from time to time. My pole also seems really slippery which I read online might be due to the film of whatever that they put on it for shipping. I've had my pole 3 months and use Acetone and alcohol to clean it. Works for a little bit but goes back to slippery mode shortly after. I was going to dry some more advance moves like ayasha, twisted handspring, straight edge, and some other ones that I don't know the name of, but require the straight arm grip/hold. I was looking into dewpoint for a gripping aid, but not really sure yet. Thanks!

I don't think I have seen a better spread on grip aids than on aerial amy's blpg.  http://aerialamy.com/blog/grip-aids/

Here is Germany, they offer a glycerine based cream called Glysolid–this is what I use on my body to moisturize.  I also really like to use rosin (crystal variety that you crush in your hands)–ballet dancers use it on their pointe shoes to keep from slipping.  So far after trying many different things, this has been my most favorite.  I also picked up some Corn Huskers Lotions (also glycerine based) while I was in the states for my hands.  I am still not sure about it, but so far so good.   I also use rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle or regular, store brand, glass cleaner.  Chalk will dry out your hands (liquid or in a ball).  I like Dry Hands better for sweaty hands, and belly 😉

    Hope this helps some!

Good evening, I make the exzema since childhood.
I had exactly the same problem as you.
    I slid none stop.
    I buy Itac2 extra grip.
for me it is a revelation.
Now I can practice my pole as much as I want without slipping none stop.
    for me it works!

I also have eczema/dermatitis on my hands. I've tried Tite Grip, Dry Hands, iTac, Mighty Grip, and Grrrip. None really irritated my eczema as long as I kept it on my palms only and didn't apply directly on my eczema if I had any on my body. But I also make sure I wash my hands vigorously after poling and take a shower within hours after.

The one thing that DID irritate my eczema was alcohol. When I switched to cleaning with white distilled vinegar, I noticed my eczema wasn't as bad. Acetone and alcohol can be very drying to the skin.

Correction, only my right hand. I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to my makeup remover (Clinique Take the Day Off cleansing balm) but it's the only one that works well for me. Haha!

heathalynne, the dior instant eye makeup remover works really really well, not sure if you'd be allergic to that but it might be worth a shot. it takes off my japanese super waterproof mascara without a problem.
