Can I install a pole just in the beam of joist on my ceiling in my basement with no drywall for the ceiling or plywood? We don’t have the ceiling finish in our basement and the top of my pole has the flat plate

I meant beam or joist on the ceiling. I just want to know if there has to be ceiling or it can be just on a beam if the top pole plate is flat

What kind of pole is this? If it is x or ps you need at least 3/4 of the dome on a solid surface.

It’s from X pole sport I am not sure what those 2 things are that you said but it doesn’t have a dome on top. It is flat like a plate

At least 3/4 of that top piece needs to be on a solid surface. X=xpole, PS=platinum stages
