I've been thinking about this for a while now… it seems that i'll continue pole dancing until my body falls appart… so why not make it "official"?

Here's the thing… I'm soon to be unemployed and I cant find work in my area of expertise (or in any other for that matter… things are so bad atm 🙁  ) but, maybe its a good thing.. a chance to start fresh. I've been trying to get into teaching but I'm having a hard time being taken seriously… not only pole dancing is still frown upon by many people here I also have no fitness or teaching background to back me up and I know that i still have a lot to learn and work on, but… i also feel that i've gone as far as I could on my own…

So, I've been looking arround a bit but i dont know what to choose or even where to begin. if I'm going to do this I  want to do this right. I'd like something that would be recognized internationaly, since to be honest I dont see myself linger in this place for much longer… but thats a subject for another post or a blog maybe 😉

I'm willing to travel, just not too far… US and Australia as much as I'd love too go are a bit out of reach 🙁

so please, if you know of some upcoming courses in Europe, if you have one that you would recommend, I'd very much appreciate the information. Also I'd welcome some thoughts and opinios on this.. am I making a mistake? maybe its too soon? or just would not be the right solution? is it loo late to start over? any feedback really will be more then welcome … Thank you 🙂

in germany nele sehrt can make you a official polebatics teacher, but i don´t know wheather this is internationally recognized.

i also teach poledance without any certification as i think those which are offered here in germany are just to make money… you pay 600€-1800€ and you get teached 3-9 days.

i know a teacher who got a certification in swiss. now she maybe knows how she should theoretically teach but if you aren´t a good pole dancer (she didn´t do any pole dance before and 3days are definitly not enough to learn pole dance) how will you make you students to a good dancer.

if you feel ready to teach and you have a good technic just offer cheap trial lessons. your students will notice wheather you´re a good teacher no matter if you have a certification or not.

i always loved teaching (not only pole dance, but also maths or english when i went to school) and my students always liked my training.

if you don´t invest too much money, then you can just try it and if it doesn´t work or you recognize that teaching is not the right job for you haven´t lost anything

wish you good luck whatever you´ll do!

Thank so much for your reply 🙂 I went to look for more information but my german sucks… 🙁 don't supose the courses are in english by any chance? 😉

I know.. everything seems a bit overcharged… i mean i dont mind to pay as long as i get my money's worth…  but sometimes is hard to tell…

I've tried the trial lessons… but its hopeless here… i love teaching, but i cant keep teaching friends for fun forever… and everyone else is either not interested because its "stripper class" or dont trust my skills or simply dont feel like they have to pay me anything because i have nothing on paper to show for myself… i cant even begin to describe how much portuguese love their paperwork and burocracy… anyway..

i've been doing more research, both on google and in here, and considering my geographical and background limitations i'm inclined towards the VerticalDance course.. does any one have it? is it worh it?

    HI,

you can try a KT Coates courses which are definetly internationally recognized. I have been taken an on-line course recetly and it was really good. First I was awaiting sth easier (because of the on-line version) but believe me it is not. If you have any questions you can send them her and she will give you a very quick answer. I was satisfied with this course and I´m considering to take the intermmediate one soon. If you are not a fitness instructor you can buy a special modul that you have to pass before the vertical dance.

    Good luck!;-)
