Pole is down for a little while :(
My mount became just a little loose, so I took it down to inspect. Seems as if the mount was pressing into the drywall. I think I know what happened…my "handyman" said it was in the center of the joist, but I bought a "center of joist studfinder " today just to be sure (kind of expensive but worth it). If im using it correctly, that was NOT the center where he marked it. So, I worked with spackle to fill up the areas, but I just hate that it happened. Lizz said also my drywall may have been really thick and I shud use the longer screw provided. This was not Lil Mynx's fault by any means. Ugh…just not happy…ugly ceilings don't make me happy. Cheap studfinders dont make me happy either. Now, Im afraid to put it back up but I'll get over that Im sure! (Whimper).

Looks like it was rite on the edge of a stud…not the center! 🙁

Oh and i did not mean the longer screw "provided with the pole". That was sent to me separately… the first time I felt it a little loose. I didn't use it tho…and I shud have. Bet I will now!

Wow. You're really lucky it didn't fall! Lil' Mynx customer support (and Lizz) are terrific. I agree with PA. Your handyman should fix the ceiling!

Asking because I'll be out there this week. I'm staying in Stafford, bu I'm going to the Senior Photography show at VCU where my niece is graduating. It is on Friday. Hmmm. Have to see how the schedule goes. Up for a pole jam if it works out?
