  Pole platform heels, shopping around the UK

  Dear all,

  Question mainly to the UK polers – what do you guys think of the brand Footlights?

  Just got a pair of 5'' from Camden. Shoe itself fits fine but the sole is so smooth! Was told by the shop-keeper to sandpaper the bottom etc. Is that recommended? Should I buy sticky grips to superglue to the bottom…or just suck it up and practice walking in heels?

  I've heard that pole shoes are meant to be heavy-ish…however these are rather light and the platform feels 'plasticky'.

  Also, the heels appear to make little round imprints on my floor at home. That normal?

  Starting to wonder if I've been ripped off 🙁
