  • Pole studios with “open practice” in bay area?

I’m taking a vacation on Friday-Tues and my host will be working Monday. San Fran is a big city, and I’m sure they have a few studios between SF and San Jose.

The studio I go to in Phoenix has a wonderful thing called “open practice” which is just $5 for an hour of freestyling. Or maybe it’s 45 minutes. ANYWAY. I was wondering if there were any studios there that allowed for free play. I really don’t want to pay for a workshop or class if I can avoid it, and most of the time when I call a studio to ask about it, I get an answering machine :/

Are you talking this week?  Looks like Poletential has open pole on Sunday morning: http://www.poletential.com/poletential_calendar.html

Many of the studios are preparing for Pole Con this weekend.  I thought the owner of Poletential was on this forum.

I thought pole con was in LA, not SF?

It is but if you were a studio that was within a few hours of one of the largest pole conventions wouldn't you attend??  If you look at their schedule they cancelled a bunch of classes on Friday and Saturday.

    Hi

Poletential instructor, here! Almost all of us are headed to LA for convention. The owner is there already, which is why you likely aren't getting called back. Our regularly scheduled classes are cancelled this weekend, but there is indeed open studio Sunday 10:30 – 12:30. I believe it's $10 (but don't quote me, not certain.) You can just show up, someone will be there to have you sign a waiver and take your $.
