I eventually want to add pole to my dance classes, once I get certified and such. I keep going back and forth on what poles to get. I thought of getting 45mm TGs due to the gripiness(it is humid here.) I am also considering the powder coated LM for the se reason and because I could get the mounts up easier.it seems like getting in the attic in the studio to make the studs wide enough for the pole mounts might be impossible and I am dreading the thought of putting up the xpoles with the domes several times a week. What do you guys think?

For this application I think Minx would be your best bet – especially if you are taking them down a lot – that means you'll be tightening them often so they should hold up pretty good. Minx makes a 45 too – check that out – you could get a few powder coated and a few stainless to offer variety. If it's humid there stainless should be okay – I usually prefer mine on humid days 🙂

I have a SS, which was fine in dry CA, but when I got to OR I literaly could not hold on at all. It was way to slick combined with my sweaty hands.

yes but different people react differently to different poles. I can only use my stainless steel Lil minx if it is humid because I have dry skin not sweaty. remember your students will not always have the same skin type as you. I do like charlies idea of different finishes. personally I would rather put up the x-s with the domes then minx's though, but that is me I have never been able to get my minx down. ever. but that could be because we put up a wood block on the beam because orginally the minx ate through my ceiling and came crashing down. Now its safer but I haven't been able to get it down since!

I thought about getting a couple of chromes and a couple of TGs. I have one SS lready that I can't use, so I'm gonna stick that one up.
