Post-pregnancy body changes w/ pole
As some of you may know, I have taken a long hiatus from pole since I became a mother. Not altogether but, compared to how often I used to, I rarely find time anymore for a truly productive pole session.
Anyway, I’ve discovered some pros and cons to my post-pregnancy body in terms of pole. Figured I’d share and see if anyone else can relate.
1.) Flexibility: (pros AND cons)
Srsly, wth happened? I’ve gained some inhuman bend-ability in ways I never had before, particularly in the hips and spine. Unfortunately, I also tend to lock up and am much slower than I remember being.
2.) The post-baby belly pouch:
Does it ever go away? Obviously YES, but how? Exactly how much do I have to step up my routine and eat right before the pouch becomes a nice flat stomach again? Or at least resembles my pre-pregnancy one. lol
3.) Extremely high pain thresh-hold:
A human being lived inside my body and passed through me into this world. The bruises and burns and sore muscles and painful moves really don’t bother me anymore at all as a result. I’ve recognized there are as many dangers to this as there are benefits.
