Powder coat or stainless lil mynx?
Posted by valerie98 on May 10, 2011 at 11:36 amI now have a static stainless lil minx pole. I love it! I am going to order a rotator pole. I want to stay with lil minx but don’t know of I should go with the stainless or the power coated. Anyone have one? If so, do you love it? Thanks!

I have one (though not rotator) and let me tell you….it WILL tear skin, especially during warm/humid days. If you have air conditioning you should be fine but I do not and typically any days over 75 I have issues with too much grip.

I love my powder coated rotator https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif……and hated my ss non rotator so much I sold it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif

I recommend you get the powder coated rotator…
1. You already have a SS- which is great for dance, transitions, & spins
2. Powder Coated are sticky, hence excellent for newbs learning tricks- which is why you want it to rotate- to do some really cool spinning tricks, again you will need the extra stick.
My first pole was a Lil' Mynx rotator and it helped me advance and build necessary strength bc of the increased grip.
With that said, be conscientious of that extra stick and the effects it will have on your skin, as chem said it could tear areas when the climate factors weigh in.

i don't have the rotator but i do have the powder coated static and i love it. It is very grippy. i dislike ss poles..they are way too slippery for me.

Yay! I have the black one on the way! I think it will be better! I can’t wait to try it on spin! I hope I don’t fly off!

lol Valerie! Don't worry…you will be stuck like glue on it!

Wish we had powder coated poles here in Aussie! =(
If we wanted a Lil Mynx, will have to order and import from US.By the way, they’re not height adjustable like X-Poles, right? They’re cut to fit your ceiling?
-
They're adjustable. At least they were many years ago when I bought mine (SS rotator). It's 8ft, but adjustable up to 10ft.

HOWEVER the top of the Lil Mynx is not usable for poling. It is a tube that slides into the other tube and there is quite a ridge at that point, so you still only have 8 feet of usable pole.

I got mine 9 feet because we have taller ceilings. It only cost $20.00 more!
