I had my brass powder coated and did prefer powder coat to brass.  I have seen other forum members powder coat their xpole and they also seem happy with the outcome.

The coating hasn't come off my pole and it will be a year in March since it was done. You will have to call around to the different shops in your area that do powder coating and get price quotes. I got mine done for about $65.  After you pick a place, you will bring in your pole and explain to them what pieces move and need to be covered up, next you will look at all the colours they have(sometimes they might have to order your colour if it isn't in stock, which will possibly cost extra.) The powder stuff looks like mineral eyeshadow.

Oh and the burning you are talking about is going ot happen no matter what kind of pole you use, because your skin isn't used to it. It will toughen up as you practice more.

I can already do most CKR etc was Jst wondering as sum1 had sed tht evn if u can already do it ur will hurt again as a pc’d pole is alot grippier and will always burn even once ur use to it. xx

I get friction burns from PC poles when doing moves like drops. I don’t get that on other finishes. I love the color variety and grippiness of PC though…. I just need to be extra mindful of what I’m doing with it.
