So I wondered can anyone help me here?

A few issues I have with some moves.

First my Brass monkey from Shoulder mount,

I first started trying to get this using the right shoulder to mount and the right leg. I couldn't get it at all.  I then thought omg I'm using the wrong leg and started using the right shoulder and hooking the back of the left knee and got to the right position but can't seem to let go.  I now have watched the tutorials and see that the first way I was doing it was correct aghhhh can I do it the second way or not??  really http://www.poleandaerial.com/forum/goals/problem-moves-arghhh#.

    Next

    No handed cupid

Just cant get it!!  I can do knee hold and I can do no handed genie but this cupid I just fall off as soon as i lower that bottom leg 🙁  any suggestions?

    Next lol

    cross knee release to ayesha

I'm so confused at which way to turn to go to grab the pole when in a CKR

I'm on the pole right knee over left but which way do i twist to grab the pole??

I would be soooo happy for any help 🙂  Thank you

The only one I can give you a tip on is the Cupid. I watched Ariel Amy's tutorial, and then got some great advise from my instructor. The hardest part is getting the hips far enough forward. I got into it from Gemini. Then I reached up with top hand and started to push away with the bottom hand just like a Star. Now, here's the tricky part, and it's a little awkward looking at first. Before you place your bottom foot on the pole, bend the knee like a little froggy and place it high up, closer to your bent knee. Make sure your top, hooked leg is in the shape of the number "7", then  push away with the bottom foot, letting it slide down until it feels secure. Feel free to hang onto your ankle of the hooked knee before letting go. Here is a link to my very first one showing what I mean. (at :17)  It isn't very pretty, but it gives you the right feel. Mine is much prettier now!

For cupid: have you tried humingbird yet?

I found cupid was easier for me after learning humingbird. You turn your butt away from the pole instead of side-by-side to further understand the pull mechanic from the knee and the push mechanic from the foot.

Remember to push out the hips, and with the foot against the pole, push into the pole. With the knee, push away from the pole on that leg. Hope that makes sense and helps.
