    Hi there!

After considering many options for my own pole, at the top of the list is a 45mm brass pussy cat pole. It would be great to read more opinions about pussycat poles, lots of people talk about xpoles but they are just not right for the space.

I live in a warehouse with 5 meter ceilings. It’s working out only marginally more expensive to get a 5m pussycat pole than an xstage in brass. Would love to hear any stories about amazingly large poles too!

Cant wait to order but still testing the waters to see if I should know anything else. Thanks!

    Hi Mel,

I have a Pussycat pole! It's a 38mm Brass spinny semi-removable – my cielings are taller than average too (although not 5 m tall!) so I had to get one that slips int oa socket in the ceiling. This socket can be easily bolted in to a beam above the ceiling. The base is just tighten to press onto the floor, so no damage is done to my floorboards. I absolutely love my pole. I have had it for…. hmm atleast 2, probably 3 years now. No complaints. It's never come loose, and the grip is pretty good. I rang their office to ask advice on which pole to choose and they were super friendly and helpful. Mine cost about $700 and then a bit more for delivery. Best money I'v eever spent!

    Great news!

Just checked out one of your videos too, good to see the pussycat pole in action. Your moves are awesome too! Can’t wait to dance like that 🙂

    Cheers!

I think the only reason Pussy Cat poles are not mentioned much here much is that they are only an Australian company and the majority of the presence here is in the US.  There have been discussions in the past though on the poles and they are considered one of the better poles in your country.

We have pussycat poles at the studio I go to! I love them! If I ever buy my own house, I would definitely look into buying one. The only thing is that they're not height-adjustable and are permanent, so not really an option for me while I'm renting…

We have chrome pussy cat poles in the studio I go to and they are awesome, I’m still trying to wear my chrome x-pole in. I think the girls were saying something about being able to have them reskinned if you moved and resized, I’m not too sure. And I have seen them have trouble popping them into the top bracket on an odd occasions, but that’s only a hassle if your taking it down a lot and I assume you won’t be. Also they are quite heavy, I don’t think ours are quite 5 meters and they are heavy and awkward to carry on your own, but again only an issue if it’s coming up and down a lot.

I have used poles from 50mm to 38mm from all makers and pussycat in brass is THE best….if you are in Australia as I am then look no further.  I know someone who is selling second hand ones if your in Melbourne.

Mel I just noticed you're in Sydney – you'll find most studios in sydney use brass 38mm spinny pussycat poles. I trained at Bobbi's and it was nice to be able to use the same pole in the studio and at home… I know that overseas 38mm is pretty small and they use larger diameters…. but it depends where you plan on training. Thanks for the compliment on my vids! 🙂

After lots more research and many emails to the wonderful Leanne at Pussycat Pole, I am minutes away from placing my order 🙂

We hired a ladder today to do final accurate measurements and the ceiling came in at 4.6m. So excited to be getting my brass 45! All one piece, spinning and static! Will have to join In with the home videos when it arrives!

Thanks again for your help ladies!
