R-Pole??
Posted by reenie aka Mysfit on October 20, 2010 at 11:15 pmHas anyone heard if they have been made available for North American shipping yet?
I have contacted them 3 times now through the link on their website and have had no reply from them at all.I would like to get details…….however, I am getting frustrated with not getting a reply from them…
So….anyone know if there is an established release date for us over here???
Dying to find out………
Huge thanks

All I’ve heard is that by the time you pay for shipping it’s like over $1000 https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

not that i have any experience iwth them but– getting the pole is one story, customer service is another. if you get the pole and it takes you this long to get a response from them, if anything goes wrong, how on earth will you get them to service/replace/fix whatever is broken?
had a HORRIBLE experience with platinum stages. took me 2 months (and HOURS on the phone, emailing, etc) to get enough parts for a working pole.

Excellent point…………
As it is now literally almost a week later and I still haven’t heard anything from them for follow up~
Yeah……..I will be taking my money elsewhere. If the pole is as good/stable and as light as it’s reputed to be……I have no issue paying good coin for it. It will get its use as I am forever getting requests to do demos and workshops that I have to turn down because of weird angled ceilings………..or false ceilings…….plus, I could probably rent it out to a few local studios as well.
However, my money is going to Xpole who was my original first choice anyway.
I was wavering cuz it looked like the R-pole would be easier to lug around by myself. (smacks my hand)
bad reenie…….I love Xpole………I love their customer service…………..
Will be ordering the Xstage.
Those who have it……how much you figure it weighs?
Huge thanks

An X Stage is 200lbs. But it comes in 3 bags, the heaviest bag is the base at 87lbs, then the pie pieces for the stage (2 bags per stage – each one has 3 pieces), then the bag for the pole. Once youve got it up, its sturdy as anything. I borrowed 4 of them from Jessalynn for my Battle, and I had to put them back into my moms garage ALONE! Yep, I hauled 800lbs of pole! Learned my lesson!
I personally reccomend having a 2nd person with you when lugging it. The base bag does have wheels. But then again it could be your warm up getting the stage out and picked up. If I had the room, I would totally buy one.

i’ve never heard of R-pole until now https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif i was looking on their website…do they only come in 38mm?? i can’t imagine using that haha, i’m so used to 50!

My experience of moving an x-stage around is that the base plates are the heaviest and most difficult to move. I’ve heard someone recommend getting an extra bag or two for them, so you carry less of them at once. That struck me as a really good idea. More trips, but less pain!

I always use a 38mm and I really like it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I just don’t get how anyone can use 50mm. I tried that once and I couldnt even get my hands around it :S https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Hey there, I emailed them a few months back wondering about pricing, I had an email back ASAP.
I didn’t really have the cash to put into it but I can give you the contact info if you like?
Let me know https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
