Really Tall Freestanding pole
I always see girls in competitions and demonstrations performing on really tall freestanding poles. They wiggle at the top because they are not secured to the ceiling. They are not raised on stages but like the X-Pole stage that is flat, only wider. Where the heck are these sold? What brand are they? and are they Thousands of dollars?

Where are you located? XPole has their lites that are only a few inches off the ground and RPole in the UK makes a freestanding pole too. Not sure of any others that make tall and freestanding.

I am in CA. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-511158950597949668 this is one of the links where I saw those tall poles. I was just on the x-pole and platinum stages websites and looked at their poles, they are 9'8" the poles in that video look taller. I currently have an older platinum stages pole with the 1' stage and I can only climb one seat up.

Those look like they were specially made for that event. Those are fairly tall stages they are on, the poles look white and they also look like a really small diameter.
9'8" is pretty tall! Even on an original I can wear heels, invert and have room to reverse climb, and I am 5'8". The original SSA as soon as I inverted my feet were taller than the top of the pole. I think their poles are only 6 feet, so the X is almost 4 feet taller!

Granted that Karol is not terribly tall, but her she is on X's (both styles). They have a TON of usable pole (standard issue as I understand you can order extensions for the SSA)

If you look for MIchigan Pole Showcase you can see different people compared to the pole. I even think Veena has some older videos of her on hers outside.
