I got so excited about the knee hold the other day and I really wanted to call or text one or more of my friends about it and you know what? I knew that none of them would really truly care that much. My friend that used to come to pole dancing classes with me doesnt really wana hear about it anymore. And my other friends would be happy for me but wouldnt truly grasp why it was such an achievement. Im teaching one of my friends at the moment and last weekend we had a house party and I showed people some of the moves. My friend was drunk and she said, "Well we all know you can do the moves!!" In other words she was implying that I was showing off! It made me sad. So obviously I wasnt gonna text her…
My point is, it was SOOOOOOO good to be able to come on here and tell everyone how happy I am. And everyone was so nice!!

I have noticed that non poling people sometimes don’t really care to here about the poling process, they just like to see the finished product. I just chalk it up to a lack of understanding about the different things we have to go through to train our bodies to do the things we do. (And of course partly to HUMAN emotions…jealous, envy, anger) I’m glad I have you all to talk to and understand what each other is going through. And no matter how many people we run across or how many moves they learn, we always still get excited when they learn something new and vice versa! I just love to see people happy and smiling. I love to see what people call "cheesy victory dances". Jumping up and down, squealing, and clapping. I just think it is so priceless!! So Trena, just keep smiling and poling. We love ya dear.

This morning, I was telling my husband how incredible this site was and how the members really trust one another with very personal issues. I don’t post very regularly and I’m never able to chat on Fridays, but I do feel like I know you guys and that you’d all be there for me if I needed an online hug. I’m really blown away by the huge amount of support that gets shown on this forum. I’m so glad we’ve got each other.
Another thing is that whenever anyone posts a vid, people’s responses have been so enormously positive and encouraging. I don’t think a single negative comment has ever been said. This has actually made me want to make a vid myself (still working on the courage, though), knowing that I’ll get constructive criticism rather than getting raked over the coals.
I’m really proud to be a member here.

I haven’t been able to be as active on this site as I’d like…but I need to put my 2 cents out there! When I found Veena on youtube the first time, I was so impressed and taken with her beauty and grace on the pole…Veena you encouraged me when I barely started and wanted to give up! I have had to fight people’s negativity ever since I started poling….I was horribly bashed on Youtube…but it was YOU, Veena that complimented me on my efforts and encouraged me to keep going, I have never forgotten and am forever grateful to you! The encouraging words you gave me made me more confident and helped raise my self esteem. I still encounter people especially where I live that think it’s HORRIBLE at my age to be doing poling….I have been able to hold my head up and smile because I am proud to be 53 years young and able to hang upside down on a POLE!!! LOL I have started a business now teaching basic pole fitness and I love it! Though I’m not that good I can still teach and the students I have love it! WOW! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif I just joined this site a few days ago, and havent gotten to know anyone real well yet. However, by my "lurking" Ive definately noticed how close knit the forum is, how well everyone knows each other, and how dedicated and caring Veena is towards us. Ive seen that all ppl of different sex, shapes and sizes are accepted and applauded for their efforts and successes. Noone has been made to feel embarassed or ashamed of anything. Support and love and unity is completely overflowing this forum. I love it. With a post baby body who is in need of a bit of cosmetic surgery I am still confident that when I do post my first video I wont be made to feel ugly or ashamed for what being a mother has done to my body, https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif but that I will be commended for every single fall, and bump, and bruise that you will see from me trying to get where i want to be https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif ! Sorry if some of these are repeats but I feel the same way.
1. Everyone is very open-minded. Not just in terms of pole dance but the fact that we come from different backgrounds and parts of the world. I know that it is hard to convey feelings in text form and some might get offended but I know that no one here ever really means any harm. Heck, our debates are like delicate little squabbles. LOL
2. Everyone is informative. I could stop searching for pole dance stuff in other websites or blogs or YouTube videos and I would be none the dumber for it. We get info and links galore here! And if someone doesn’t know the answer they usually know who to send you to.
3. Everyone is very supportive. I feel the love here. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif Even when we feel down or like we are stuck in a rut or our latest videos stinks there is always someone to support you.
4. Gentle beings. The universe gives you what you put out. I know we talked about this during chat or something but there is a reason why we don’t need moderators. (At least not yet or not for a long time?) You put out a good message and good people will follow.
5. Veena rocks! Yes, she is just fantastic! Takes time to read posts, comment and watch videos, answer questions even the small or silly ones, and creates a harmonious forum. I used to be a member of a forum where the moderators and creators had their own thread or part of the forum that no one else could see… well, I found out that all they did in that part was bitch about the members! I think if you create a sense of paranoia or mistrust or just sending out ill feelings you create a bad forum. I left that other forum ASAP and so did a lot of others. The forum ended up dying and drying up it like its brittle heart. Veena is the heart here so I know that could NEVER happen here. *hugs*

It’s almost as if the kindest, most generous, most supportive, talented, amazing people from all corners of the world have all ended up on this very cool website.
I don’t think you’ve repeated anything PoledanceABC (not that it would matter, since the same thing can be expressed in so many ways) and what you wrote was beautiful.
I’ve loved reading everyone’s post and I agree wholeheartedly with what has been said already, keep adding people!
1) You guys are sooo funny! The comments you guys make on each other’s videos and posts and blogs and in chat often make me laugh https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif2) We can express our differing opinions without being made to feel stupid. I’ve only been around a while – but this site is my new addiction! I *love* it here! Everybody is supportive and encouraging – there is no meanness!! I’m terrified of video cameras, so I think you all are brilliant for the videos you make! They are inspirational, and great for others to learn from! I’m working up the courage to join in.. soon! soon!
