    Hey everyone,

I was wondering how you guys would recommend this. At the moment I use my phone video recorder – but I was wondering if it'd be beneficial to invest in a (fairly cheap) video camera? Because I am back at pole class and pole stretch and strength I'm, hoping to improve a bit more than what I have been and I really want to record myself!

I just watched a video of my when I first started doing the front and back hooks and it took 7-9 minutes before I could convince myself that I could do it. Yay! So I know it's beneficial for me to record my practices so I know where I've come from. I just want opinions on which way is better.

To buy or not to buy? That is the question.

Get an HD Flip, they are great, super easy to use and reasonably priced. I love mine.

It sounds like you are already seeing the benefit, so yeah, I would definitely recommend getting a video camera. I don’t have have anything fancy, a Sony.

If you can wait, you could probably get a good deal on Black Friday or Boxing Day.

Yeah I’m not in a giant rush to get one. I was just wondering whether it’d be worth the investment. I was curious as to what other polers use. I know you can get some pretty good deals, but I wanted to ask the more experienced polers what they thought!

Seems the camera is the way to go 🙂

    I have a vado–very compact–and a little tripod (called Joby). LOVE THEM. I highly recommend regular video'ing.

I can’t find where to buy the vado or the flip? The direct links on the site don’t appear to be workin for me… Though they look pretty good. I like that the USB is part of the camera. I will keep looking

Go to Amazon.com and do a search for Vado, Flip HD or Kodak Playfull HD. You can also get a regular high megapixel photo camera too with video camera capabilities OR if you have an iphone or ipad, I know alot of gals that use that to video tape themselves too. Hope that helps!
