I am working on the remi foot hold at the moment and am basically after any tips to help with it. I am trying it on both sides and trying to hold the weight on my knee/ leg but am feeling a lot of pain on the side of the calf as well as the attached foot keep sliding down. I have tried boots, shoes and barefoot. I have looked at the past thread talking about it when it was a fairly new move but theres not much to help me. I have also watched Charley's vid to death but can't move on with this one, any help would be appreciated..

vickie, can you describe the problem a little more and clarify which foot/leg you mean?

Hi Amy I hook my left foot on the pole and tuck the right leg through and try to lean back to catch the right knee on the pole but as I said its painful on the left calf and my hooked foot slips.

woah, you're hooking the left foot? and then weaving the leg through to get into it? can you post a video?

the way i usually get into it is to squeeze the pole with my left kneepit, hook the left foot with my right knee, and place the front of my right shin/ankle onto the pole, then lean back.

Is there a photo somewhere of the Remi foot hold?  I'm trying to look for it on the pole Dance Dictionary but its not loading today.

Go to Wiki Pole and there are several pictures.  The one I posted is from Charley and shows the best angle.

Thanks, Chemgoddess.  I've mainly had a lot of foot/ankle pain when doing this one.

Hey Kitty i agree its better to sit into it, keeping side of knee close into pole before letting go..
