It should be able to go over carpet, and it will break down into four manageable chunks that can be put together as you need them. I’m working on the design now and will probably start building it early this week or after thanksgiving.
I’m working on a second enhanced design that will have LED strip lighting built into the floor as well with some type of clear or opaque polycarbonate overlay.

Will you be selling both? And is the lighted floor foldable and moveable as well

We’re not planning on selling either one. If it works the way I hope I will be sharing plans and a video on the site so you can build them yourselves.

Yes please! I was actually trying to the k of a way to use my lite pieces around my pole so I can dance in heels! This would be awesome!

I did this in my home pole room. We used 2 pieces of plywood and fasteners to attach them together. Flipped it over and then applied peel and stick hardwood tiles. Works perfect. I use it over carpet. Can be moved, however requires two people for transporting.

Yes please share webby!! Plans for this would be the answer to a prayer because it would make it feasible to do the whole project in a weekend and know it will work.

My goals in the design are:
1) Maintain structural integrity over any surface including carpet. This will mean that it will be a framed floor which provides the additional benefit of a bit of spring like an actual wood floor.
2) I want it to be moveable/removable without destroying the floor. I’m looking at building four panels that will interlock and be four feet by four feet.
3) I want to hide any connectors. The framed floor is ideal for this because I can put the locking connectors underneath and it can be assembled upright then layer down.

How is it coming? I’m looking forward to what you come up with!

There is a company here in wa that sell removable hardwood flooring. Its expensive but idk if they are good quality and if they really work well on every surface. But they have different wood selection designs. But its awsomet that you guys are designing them for everyone to have access to.
