I wish! I love that move but for the life of me cannot figure out how to get into it….okay, so I was not helpful AT ALL…hope someone has one. Then they can explain the mechanics of it to me!

Do you mean the rockstar spin?
In that case, I wish I did!! I can never manage to get good pics of spins https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif -
I have a friend who is doing a photoshot today so she is going to try to get it posed for me. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Spins are hard to catch but since its a professional maybe he can capture it.

Ohhhhh the rockstar spin…I thought you meant the pose…gotcha
-
I am thinking pose…hmm I wonder if there is two different ones? Or is the pose your thinking of part of the spin?
-
As far as I know they are completely different.
The rockstar pose from wikipole:
https://www.studioveena.comhttp:://www.triagedesign.co.uk/wikipole/images/thumb/f/ff/Rockstar.jpg/200px-Rockstar.jpgThe rockstar spin:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SyRrYan7n4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; In my experience, when people talk about ‘the rockstar’ they usually mean the spin. (Although technically in the vid it was more a pose, since it was done on spinny https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif ). The whole terminology gets so confusing at times https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

Thanks! Those are the two I know of too. Either would work. I told my friend if had time to do both , if not since she knows a lot of polers, to pick most popular. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

That picture is awesome i love that pose, never seen it. How did she get into this?? I would think just from an invert? or from an elbow grip HS ??

Exactly! Ever since I saw that pose I have tried various ways to get into it…you can’t quite see how the top leg is positioned but I was to do this pose! -
The photo was put up by polelushes. I think I am subscribed to her on my youtube channel and I recall seeing her get into this move once. I think. I cannot access youtube from work but I will try to find it later. To me it looks like she is going into a forearm/elbow iron X but her bottom arm looks more like she is coming out of an aysha variation that I cannot think of the name of. I call it the Karol aysha because she was the first one I saw doing it..
-
If you could find it when you get home that would be awesome…I have been trying this move…thanks! When I put in Rockstar as a search I get everything BUT the pose!
-
Polelushes has taken down all of her videos as someone mistook her for someone in a show. I was going to e-mail her through youtube but she has not even touched that account in a month. I found her on FB so I am going to send her a message there.

It looks like her shoulder is on the pole too. Isn’t an aysha normally with the head behind the pole with the body? Maybe she lowers her shoulder into the pole from elbow grip aysha? Now I want to do it too https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I remember seeing her do this in the video. I believe that she went from a CAR into a super extended bow and arrow type move. Instead of her back being to the pole she brought her side to the pole, reached down with the one hand and elbow gripped with the other.
Similar to this but with the bottom arm extended:
You can see from the above picture how you could easily move into Rockstar.
-
Maybe not…..in looking at the photos again her elbow grip is more aysha-like. It really just looks like a variation of the rubber aysha.
This looks similar….called the rubber Fiona:
