Still working through the book Becoming a Supple Leopard, by a guy who is a physical therapist and an early adopter of Crossfit. The book is…. *basically* about building the flexibility needed for the big crossfit movements and olympic weightlifting. The author has a lot of specific exercises and stretches for loosening sticky spots in major joints (shoulders, hips). Some of these call for the heavy duty resistance bands, like those made by Rogue, Wod Fitters, Mummy Strength, etc.

They’re not quite what I call cheap – $30 for a bigass rubber band makes me think twice.

Has anyone made significant progress with their mobility/flexibility using one of these? Was it worth getting? Or did you get by just fine doing stretches/exercises that don’t require these bands?

    Thanks y’all!

Maybe you can find an no-name resistance band on Amazon or ebay. That’s where I got mine from. I live in Germany though but I bet since they’re probably coming from China they will be available in the US or UK or where ever you’re from 😉
    I like mine! I paid around $16.

Resistance bands will do wonders for both strength and flexibility but I bought mine at Walmart for $5. Nothing fancy or really heavy duty. ☺

Always worth it and you can use them with the lessons here. Looks like rogue bands are just a brand name so I would go with whatever fits your budget.
