I personally can’t make that call for you but…….( I can’t remember how long ago this started either ) If its not painful, then go at it any of the exercise slowly, you don’t want to be doing any of the exercises everyday anyway to start with. Every other day is best and if you have pain when performing any of them then stop. If you can’t get at least 8-10 reps then you need less resistance, if your going beyond 12-15 max then you need more resistance. I don’t like going over 15 reps because it can lead to overuse…unless you were directed by your dr to do so. Stay away from spins for now, everyone underestimates how hard spins are on your shoulders! Listen to your body!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I thought I had a rotator cuff injury that the pain some how radiated down my bicep. My dr. says I have biceptial tendonitis https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif … that doesn’t sound to pleasant either. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_neutral.gif
I’m so anxious to get back on the pole fully… right now I only practice safe moves (spins, pirouettes). I turned down the shot of steroids in the office. He told me I would have to stay off of it for 7 days total, which was not an option. Now I’m on pretnazone (sp?) and I can feel it helping but don’t know if its enough…

I’m glad its not a cuff injury but I’m wondering what things I should or shouldn’t be doing… in 2 more weeks I go for a follow up https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif

Yeah I know … but I rather take it over 10 days than do that shot…
With the shot you are more at risk for injury and if you don’t rest it fully you can do more damage than good.

everytime i try the reverse grab spin my arm feels like its going numb, not while i’m doing the move but after i’m done with pole for the day & relaxing. is that something to do with a rotator cuff injury? i thought it was a few months back so i stopped doing pole for a few weeks & i haven’t had any problems with the numbing feeling since… well, until i tried it again on monday & my arm has that numbing feeling again https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif i know am doing something wrong when it comes to the reverse grab spin, but what? i keep my shoulders down & back & it feels fine while i am doing it. i don’t swing very high to get into it because i am trying not to be too hard on my arm. its not like its the end of the world if i can not get this move but i would really like to. this is the only move i have ever gotten hurt on or felt like i "over did it" on. i tried the RGS on monday & my arm was still bugging me today so i didn’t get to pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif i hate it when i can not pole!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
