I made the goal of pole dancing for my husband on his bday. I’ve changed songs/routines several times but now I am staying put with a song! I made some more elaborate beautiful routines but some of the moves I can’t do perfectly EACH time. So I’m bummed out, but I can always use it later on. I then listed moves by my level of "comfort" – beginner, intermediate, and expert. The moves I consider myself an expert (get every time) was a lot smaller than I thought. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

    Would you
    A. Keep practicing on the moves that aren’t perfect and if I get them perfected add them. If not, replace with moves I get every time. (My concern is I’ll get mixed up when its "show time".)
    B. Only work with moves I get every time and practice the actual sequence of the routine until I can do it in my sleep! (Probably build confidence but may look simpler, yet still beautiful.)
    C. Add a few moves I like, regardless of whether I get it every time, hoping he won’t notice since he doesn’t know how it is supposed to look anyway. (Of course if I did this, I could see me using it as an excuse of why I wont post it on SV.)

I’ve freestyled for him before, but I want to wow him. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Freestyle wont cut it in this case. I’ve never done a routine and I don’t want it to turn into a disaster. What would you do? Thanks for reading.

    B.
He doesn’t know it’s not the most advanced thing in the world, but he will know it’s the most beautiful!

    i think B is a good option!
u can always choose to show him the cool tricks you have learned later on, but i think a simple routine may look more beautiful (less struggling, etc)
    have fun!

I say B…most guys, even the supportive ones don’t oh and ahh over the craziest of pole tricks, they just wanna see you move. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I’m going with the consensus! Work with what you know, get the sequence really good…and then next year, you can REALLY wow him! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

    B.

Then you can make it as beautiful/sexy/hot as possible because you’re already 100% comfortable with each move. It’ll be much more your own dance. What fun!!!!!

I think I said this before in a different thread…but all your man wants is to see his sexy ass woman dancing half naked around a phallic object…which he hopes will lead to earth rockin nookie! So while everyone on here completely appreciates the dedication you have to pole and know you want to pull off some bad ass moves for him…he probably dosen’t see it the same way that we do. There are very few moves that make my hubs really go "wow" and they are usually dramatic like drops or spinning scorpio. Now he appreciates what pole has done for my body and sanity but really all he wants to see is a g-string and boobies! lol

But as everyone else has said…I would say go with B…it’s better to look confident and smooth in your movements!! You’ll do great! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

i danced recently (for the first time) for my bf. and i had tricks in mind that i was going to do. but you know… keeping an eye on him and his responses… i ended up only doing a chopper before i realized that he was WAY more into the audience interaction aspect (i happened to have a great lap dance chair in my apt) and seeing me shake my butt around. no tricks necessary! i suspect your man is probably much the same way…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Thanks for the responses everyone! B is definitely the winner! lol He probably wouldn’t care as much about the tricks, as watching me dance. I’ll redo the routine using only moves I do well EACH time.

I plan to do two songs and I’m going to call the show- "Sugar and Spice." I’ll record the Sugar one again and put it on SV as soon as I get a video cam. Spice will be for his eyes only. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I’m thinking of making him VIP tickets or maybe a pass. he he This is so much fun! I can’t wait. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I’m glad we have SV to carry on about everything pole. Thanks again.

    Update-

I’ve been trying to work on a routine and haven’t done that well with practicing (get bored with same song)…and when I do practice it doesn’t seem as good. I look more natural doing improv instead. So I am literally going to ask myself what song I want to do that same day and do it! So much for trying to wow him, b/c I will make mistakes probably, but I will just keep going regardless.

I finally bought myself a webcam so I could post on SV. My videos are decent but not perfect as I would like them to be. I keep wanting to share a vid but I find a reason not to send the video. For example, I think-I messed up on that move, or I did too many of the same move, etc. Maybe I will post anyway, mistakes and all. Once I get it over with, maybe it will be easier?

So yeah, routine was a complete failure. Oh well. I was hoping the routine way would make things look flawless.
I guess I’ll just work with what I have! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

velvetvixen…Go ahead a post a vid….You can even use it as this months challenge, well tell ya if its sexy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif I can always see a bunch of things I did wrong or think look ugly in my videos, and no one but me can even see it!!!!

When I am having trouble making a routine, I will just map out a few big things, then freestyle everything else. Like if a particular moment really begs for a reverse grab, or CAR, or whatever, I’ll plan for that and just try to hit those marks. It looks less rehearsed but I still feel like I’m in control of it, lol.

Inspiring thread, I’m sure you’ll do well regardless!

(ps and a bit off topic I suppose, but am I the only one who’s only done fitness moves in front of bf? Never dared to do any ‘dances’ in front of him..)
