Rubber Pencil HELp
hey everyone, https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif been trying to get the rubber pencil forever and between this, jacknife, pencil mount, ect starting to thing why after 2 years am i STILL not able to do these? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif people who have been doing it 2 months get these.. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif jeeps.. well any tips or advice would be great. i can easily do bow&arrow ( with both hands in baseball grip right under butt) so i have the strength, but can’t seem to get the balance ect to figure out how to release my foot w/o just falling off pole? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

You want to be very close to the spine (not on it) You don’t want to be too high up on your neck or to low on your back…it will differ slightly from person to person so play around with it. In addition to the obvious hand/upper body strength..be sure your really engaging your abs!!! Start with the regular pencil (don’t arch your back) Stay close to the pole. Once you have control over the pencil then you can work on the Broken/Rubber Variation. This one requires hip flexor and shoulder flexibility and the ability to arch your back. -
thanks Veena. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif yes i have it to the side of my spine and am putting my head as low as possible while pressing my back against the pole. i know i have the strength, but even when try to do pencil from bow & arrow, i just feel like i am going to fall to 1 side. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif
