    Gemini climb and booty scoot I can do but pencil, flag invert and iron X no way 😬. I don’t even want to try pencil, I am so frightened of it.

    Haha, I tried flag invert a bunch of times in a private the other day but I think I’m a ways off. Going to review Veenas lessons for that….

    Pencil=iguana right? I’ve come down into it from CAR… But never mounted into it. Should be interesting.

    Oh and iron X… Hahaha…. One day.
    I’m still in it until the very end, I’m having fun!

    Day 25. Knee hold. This is another one that I am just nit ready for yet, but I gave it a shot. Not sure how the rest of the month is going to go, but I am in it to the end! 🙂

    Ok, I have done Gemini climb before. I even practiced it last week. Sadly I didn’t film it. I tried today and everything hurts like hell, even side-holding the pole hurts my skin which feels bruised everywhere and super sensitive.

    I have had bronchitis for a week , my period is due, I’ve had no rest at all and yesterday I had to perform 4 minute solo at showcase rehearsal plus a series of advanced spin combos when I really wasn’t well enough. So no SV challenge entry for me and I think I am going to quit the challenge, and the yoga challenge I’ve been doing this month as of today; I need to conserve what energy I’ve got to practice for the showcase because my solo sucked yesterday – just hadn’t been able to practice enough as been too unwell.

    I did yoga on the porch for an hour instead. It helped, but I still feel exhausted, weepy, achy and really worried about the solo.

    You see 3 options. The first is the pencil the next can help you “feel” the position while inverted (do not lift from here that’s not the goal in the clip) and the last is becoming comfortable with hand placement 😊

    Abdominal contacting is key to maintaining any “stand” on or off the pole, try working up to 10 reps.

    Ignore my tantrum, I feel better after sweating it out in epic slow hot yoga session outside and family swimming.

    I just did the gemini climb and posted on IG. Left side sucks, could just about manage 3 with appalling form. Got 6 on one attempt on right with dodgy form and lots of cursing, posted the pretty version with 4 right straightish leg climbs. Feel that I have earned a loooong shower. And wine. And fajitas. Thanks for letting me vent.

    Ps: pencil is still not happening with no spotter but pleased to see a CKR can be substituted, thank heavens because pencil/ iguana absolutely terrify me.

    Ok, here we are at Day 27: the pencil. This is one that I just have not gotten yet. I did try though. The first clip is me actually using a cross knee release, but it didn’t feel comfortable. In the second one, I hook my feet around the pole. I know that it is not the way you are supposed to do it, but I feel comfortable that way. I know it doesn’t look pretty either. This was after many attempts and for a split second or two I actually released my feet. I guess I will have to keep practicing this one too.
