I have an xstage but I am terrified of it. I am scared that it’s going to snap in half in the center of the pole where the join/joint is. It wobbles so much and it’s awful. Yes, it’s put together properly, I am just worried that it’s going to snap off or something when I’m on it. No, I’m not overweight, just worried!!! Has anyone ever heard of xstage free standing poles breaking?

I haven’t heard of one breaking. X stages do take a bit of getting used to I was scared to death the first time I inverted on mine but they are perfectly safe and you do get used to the wobble. Keep practising and you will grow to love it x

You have unfound fears.  I taught on XStages for about a year and had women over 6 foot and over 200 lbs on them with no issue.

Are you talking about the pole itself wobbling or the stage?  There are feet on the legs that you can adjust plus if you pull them out you can gain better stability when you are doing power moves.

No, I’m most scared of the actual pole snapping in half at the join where the a & b poles come together.

You don't need to be scared of that. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gifThe joint makes the pole very sturdy, the xstage is the only stage I feel comfortable performing with. Its normal for poles to have some give in them, if that is what you are worried about. The only time I have felt a pole not give at all is a one piece, SHORT as in under 8ft, permanent pole.

I've gotten a lot of mileage out of my xstage lite and never had issues with the pole. It will wobble, and that takes getting used to.

You should not worry because from an engineering point of view the joint is the strongest part of the pole due to the cross sectional area of the steel used at that point.  You probably have a much higher chance of being struck by lightening while poling than a breakage occurring.
