Selling a Lil Mynx Rotator (Michigan)
Posted by Kyrsten on December 22, 2011 at 12:03 amHi everyone! We're finishing up the basement and I plan on moving my pole down there so I have more room, but my pole now is a bit too tall to fit so I'm hoping to sell it so I can get a custom sized one.
It is the Lil Mynx black rotator model, spinning/static, powder coating, 50mm. It's only a few months old, great condition. Ceiling height 8-9ft, I have the rubber pad for hard flooring, installs/removes easy. I'm asking $175.

That is a great deal. I just bought one and with shipping cost 300. What color?
-
What about shipping charges? Are you willing to ship or is it pick up only?
-
It’s black!
I would be willing to ship, I’d just have to figure out how to package it and how much it would cost. I tried looking on ups but I’m not sure how much the pole weighs, so I’d have to check that.

Looks lik shipping via UPS is roughly a dollar per pound. I'm not sure how much a Lil Mynx weighs… Xpole says theirs is 45 lbs so I'm guessing roughly 40-50 bucks to ship. I wonder how I'd package it, though. I work in airline maintenance and we have all sorts of boxes from big ole parts being shipped, perhaps I could find something there… I'd have to look into it.

I sent my lil mynx stainless rotator to a friend, shipped it from Indiana to Florida and it was only $30 to ship at the ups store. As for what to send it in, I found an 8ft box from fluorescent lights from a friend who worked at a police station. Or this last time I moved my pole I used a box from work (Hollister) that our photo marketing came in and it was 9ft long. You could call your local A&F or Hollister and ask them to save a marketing box for you lol. Just an idea!

Speaking of florecent lights, maybe try a Home Depot, Lowes, etc. I bet they have a TON of boxes!

Thanks guys. I've been googling. Looks like picking up some PVC tubing or a cardboard carpet roll from Home Depot would work (if they'd let me have it). I will also ask at work today and I have to head to Ikea for a last minute gift, I'll see if they have something as well.
So that said I'm guessing $215 for pole shipped (if someone is interested I will get an exact rate), or $175 for local pick-up (I'm in the Detroit area).

I'm actually really interested to see what it would cost for shippping not because I want the pole but I know 4 years ago it cost me about 75 to have one shipped from New York to Kentucky. Although that was with the shipping people boxing it not the person I got it from.
-
and I priced having a hoop shipped from here to NC (before I started making my collapsable ones) and it was going to be 50 to ship it 🙁 and I live the the hub of ups!

I know when i had my 50 rotator shipped from lil mynx, the shipping was 50.00. This was for shipping from lm (not sure where they r located, CA?) To Michigan. This was a few months ago……

I might be interested….I want a pole I can mount in my basement and we have 8ft ceilings down there. Do you have an email?
-
Hmm. I think you'd save a bit of money packaging it yourself? Odd that the prices seem to range from 30-70 dollars!

Kyrelle, i know this was posted a long time ago. Wondering if you sold this yet?
-
I did sell it, sorry! Just for reference, though, the package ended up being 24 lbs and the shipping was about 30 dollars from Michigan to New York via UPS, so the shipping prices are pretty reasonable on them if you're looking to buy used from somewhere else.
