Yea, I sold it pretty quickly. I put an add on a local online classifieds site and had 3 people interested. I just had to sell it for 130 because no one would offer me more than that.
I used to have a horrible time with spins on the mynx, especially one handed spins…I would almost fly off into the horizon. I never used any grip aids for holds or inverts on it, but probably should have because I was constantly sliding. I do fine with spins on the TG. It sometimes gives me calluses on nights I do a lot of spinning, but it’s not too tough, like on brass. When I spin on brass, my wrist skin gets grabbed and stuck and it stops my spin or makes spinning painful. That doesn’t happen with the TG at all. I seriously think it’s the perfect pole. I never think "Ugh I wish this was less/more grippy." It just works for me no matter what.
Grip is a non issue now. I am totally focused on form and never worry about sliding or slipping, which is all I was focused on with the ss. When I first got it (TG), it was slick and I got worried, but after washing it down and warming it up, it’s been the perfect pole. It definately gives me pole burn more than the mynx…because it’s gripping my skin so well. It’s hard for me to tell since I’ve also worked on brass which takes the award for pole burn.
I’m pretty sure I’ve heard veena say that when cold, the titanium is more grippy than the chrome, but warm they are similar in grip. Have you asked her what she thinks? I know it’s a tough call. I was really stressing over the decision too, but I am sooooo happy I got the TG.
Wow…I should be an xpole rep! I sound like I work for them or something! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
