can we have a tutorial on making eyebrows look pretty, even, and shaped?
    Thanks!

Amen to this! I’ve really been in the mood to shape my eyebrows lately but am afraid of screwing it up and looking weird, so I just settle for plucking any stray hairs. I don’t have the money right now to get it professionally done.

I use this really nice eyebrow kit from ULTA (you can also try Sephora if you don’t have any ULTA stores):

    http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?skuId=2137775&productId=VP11851&navAction=push&navCount=1&categoryId=cat80045&CAWELAID=202393054

I love it because it comes with a bunch of different stencils, (which I wouldn’t rely on 100%) but they are great to help you find your preferred shape and then they help you maintain that shape.

So I just shade them in and then use that as a guide to pluck/wax. Mine still aren’t exactly how I want them, but they are on their way!

My town just got an Ulta actually! Thanks for the info. I’ll have to pop in there next time I’m in the area.

NP! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Just be careful about prices.. they literally hide the prices from you, it’s always a surprise when you go to check out your items. I once accidentally paid $20 for a little thing of eyeshadow..

https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif I think I would have crapped myself a little if I found out the eyeshadow I was about to buy would set me back $20! I am just way too cheap to spend that much on an eyeshadow. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Hi there! Yes I can definitely make a tutorial for you ladies https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I’m not sure if I’ll do a video one or just some photos because it might be easier to explain how to figure out where the arch goes etc. through a photo. That is my project for tomorrow…after I do my own eyebrows that is! I am overdue and I can’t do a tutorial if my own eyebrows look bad

Can’t wait to see the tutorial glitter! IF your eyebrows need to be done, might as well do it when you do them! Perfect timing!

ok good to know there are some ladies who would like a tutorial! Since I am mexican and middle eastern I have the thickest eyebrows ever so I get them threaded at a salon….like I could win a contest if it was between me and Frida Kahlo for best unibrow…it’s seriously gross LOL so I need an extra pair of hands to help because threading gets all those stubborn thick hairs that don’t want to come out. But I do pluck them in between to keep up on the shape and I had to be tested on eyebrow shapes to graduate makeup school so I promise I won’t steer you wrong https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I should post a before and after picture so you can see them, it’s so bad!

Don’t feel too bad–when I was younger, before I started plucking my eyebrows, I could have put Brooke Shields to shame. I’ve been plucking them since I was a teen, though, so now I only get a few stray hairs underneath the brow. I don’t even get them in between my eyebrows anymore because the hair there just won’t grow back. I just want to shape them more.

Ok I am pretty sure I’m going to just take a photo and draw on it so you guys can see how they should be properly shaped to suit everyone’s face shapes, that seems easier than it would be if I tried to explain it…but I can make a little video of how I fill in my eyebrows if you want to see that too https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Not gonna lie…but I am completely hopeless at this! So hopeless I gave up a few years ago and I started getting them done. I used to wax them and have recently switched to threading since it is less painful and I don’t break out afterwards. I let mine go a little longer then is recommended because I pluck with my tweezers the few strays that pop up between. When it gets more out of control, I go get them threaded again. The place where I go is $12 so not too bad.

Sounds great Glitter! I have straight eyebrows that look manly if I let them grow in. I’m getting sick of having them look different every time I pluck.

Girl I am with you! I have the worst eyebrows, if they are not taken care of they will look very thick. The worst part of all is my eyebrows are blonde!!!

I never plucked/wax until have HS. Having blonde eyebrows can be a gift – you can get away with not tweezing for awhile. But since becoming an adult I do wax mine at home and do the plucking as well. I really want to try out the threading.
