Share your favorite Combo?
Posted by ERIN6907 on January 13, 2014 at 9:49 amI seem to always get stuck in a rut of the same old same old spin and aerial combos…thought it might be fun for everyone to post their favorite combos (spin or aerial) so that we all have something new to practice. 🙂 My favorite is SIDE V into CUPID into SHOOTING STAR.

I have so many!
Layback to EG aysha to shooting star to inside leg hang to inverted thigh hold to shoulder dismount is an all-time greatest hits kind of fav.
Also love back hook spin straight into a side climb, knee hold or cupid, flip down into inside leg hang, flip body to the other side of the pole and climb over to invert again.
Ooooh, or pretty much anything that gets me to an outside leg hang that I can climb over into a spinning hood ornament. Love. 🙂

For the longest time mine was v invert, reversed Ayesha. Gemini to Scorpio leg switch into Scorpio handstand.

Good idea!
While I’m not sure which one is my actual favorite, I do like the
Allegra – Pike hip hold – Superman.
Even though I’m no Superman fan.
I’ll post again if I can think of something more I really like.

My current fav is Pike Hip Hold – Superman – Superman Drop (Scorpio)
I also like Shoulder Mount – Elbow Grip Ayesha – Straight Edge – Brass Monkey – Sit Up – Wrist Sit

Just realized there’s a spin combo (static pole) that I like and always do when I warm up.
It’s Hollywood (I think it’s called) to Back Hook.
So your pivoting on the inner foot almost like you were going to do a fireman, but the outer leg just keeps sweeping and it will be the inner knee that hooks on the pole. The outer leg is held straight and out to the side. Then after a turn or so I bring that outer leg in close to the pole (still straight) and straighten the other leg at the same time. So for quite a short time both legs are straight and held on each side of the pole. Then I land on what was the outer leg’s foot, which makes a perfect starting point to push off into a back hook.
If that was incomprehensible, I should be able to refer to a vid!

Ooh one of my favorite go-tos on static is a spinning chopper to an inside leg hang/scorpio and allow the momentum continue your torso around the pole to side switch, so the same leg is now gripping as an outside leg hang/gemini. Let that continue up the pole in a gemini climb and end in a jade split 🙂
