So with my rug in the dorms, even with barefeet I get serious rugburn on the bottom of my feet, with my heels I used the tape trick and that works fantastic! Brilliant whoever figured that out! But the rugburn is killer to practice spins. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a slick half-sock or half slip dance shoe like Capezio sells for dancers. All the ones I've found have leather bottoms. I saw in another discussion that someone used glue on the bottom of her shoes (tape does eventually wear off) and maybe one of those with glue over the leather. Any ideas?!

Those dancer half slip shoes that come around the toes are one. You can get them for like $15 bucks at the theatrical shop i know. Try Ebay. What's the tape trick?

I do think they are leather bottoms. I have rug in my apartment too but I know on the floor it helps you spin. The lady at the studio uses it sometimes.

I've read that several ladies just stick tape to the bottom of their heels if they're textured like mine are and you can spin no problem. So much less rug friction.
