I've noticed that I have such problems doing some moves (2 handed layout, side climbing) because my arms are so short!!  Anyone else have this problem?  I'm so nervous that when I start moving past intermediate into more advanced things, that my arms will cause me more problems.

On a side (and random) note, my posture has improved significantly since starting pole.  I hope this means I'm engaging all of the right muscles.

I'm sure you will adapt. I actually have monkey arms, because my waste is really short. I would just look at it as you have a long torso…Which is going to help you out in so many ways! Everyone has a move that is just not appropriate for their body. You will figure it out and go with the moves that are. Even the "great ones" have their limitations because of their conformation. Capitolize on your strengths and remember it is all "relative" and make the move your own.

Ps. Side slimbing is very difficult to do well, dont pass judgement so fast because of that move.

Pegasus is right. During a workshop with Cleo "the Hurricane", Miss Pole Dance Australia 2012, she said that there are some things she just can't do  and will never be able to do because of the way she's built. Knowing that even someone like her has limitations makes me feel a little bit better about my own, even though I'll never stop trying to improve on the things I can.
