Shorts Search
Posted by JoleneBell on February 25, 2014 at 11:11 amI did a discussion search on here for poling shorts, but couldn’t quite find a clear answer. I am looking at the PoleFit shorts right now, but I’ve read all differing opinions between the Brazils and the Fold Overs. I don’t want muffin top (ugh!), but yet I need the shorts to fit like undies and expose ALL of my thigh for not just looks, but practical purposes. That seems to be the most flattering look, as well as the best for sits. I even tried on shorts at Target and experienced a camel toe epidemic nightmare. Is the fabric thick on the PoleFit brand, and should I go with the Fold Overs or the Brazils?

I like the Brazil shorts. they are made small. they fit more like underwear. the fabric is thick and I don’t get camel toe with them. haha! they are my favorite shorts but they are quite skimpy. I think they look the most flattering on my butt too because of the scrunchy thing in the back. sizing for the pole fit line has been an issue for me. I started with mediums and they are toooooo small. even the large is questionable. I got a larger butt and they barely cover my crack. but the brazil is my favorite style. haven’t tried the fold over shorts.

If you need the whole thigh then fold over may be too long for you, as I have a pair and love them as I don’t like to expose too much but it may depend on how tall you are and your proportions. I’m a short arse in all senses!

One of our veeners (don’t remember who) suggested these for me. The high waist takes care of all my muffin top. Iwear a hip length cami over mine so the waist isnt seen but it’s cute even if it is worn that way. I have 2 pair..they run really small tho. I am a 10/12 and had to order the XL.

If you havent already, you can take a look at these ones from light activewear http://www.lightactivewear.com/shorts/
Theyre not as cheeky and the bad kitty ones, but they’ve got good thigh exposure. The owners/designers of the brand are pole dancers themselves, so they know what theyre doing 😛

Lightactive wear are also putting out new shorts and tops on their site in a week or so – the Bonnie are my go to shorts at the moment, but I just picked up one of their new ones (not sure of the name) that are a little longer in the hip at the top and still perfect for pole. Rylonn is right, they are pole specific clothing designs.
Onzie also do a really great short for no muffin over the hip – I think they are called the side tie?
As for polefit brand, I have the crisscross ones and the brazil – I love them, but they are very, very cheeky (as are almost all of their shorts) so just be aware of that. -
These are not specifically pole shorts but I just got a pair and like them for pole. They got a little cheeky when I did my cardio T25 workout but stay in place well during pole. http://www.amazon.com/Capezio-Womens-Short-Black-Small/dp/B002KIBLI0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393506741&sr=8-1&keywords=capezio+dance+shorts The V cut front flatters the muffin top area 🙂

I like any of the bad kitty bottoms. The fold overs fit really nice actually. I feel like they run a little big, I have small and think I should have gotten extra smalls. They do give you enough exposure with a modest look, the Brazil’s are awesome! Very sexy!
I also wealth Mika “Betty” short too and I love them.

I like Light Active Wear as well. Personally I like my shorts to be seven to eight fingers width at the crotch. I spot so many people that I don’t think they realize what shorts with itty bitty crotches expose without them knowing. Light Active Wear crotches are 8. Bad Kitty Full Bottom Shorts are 4, their Brazil Bottoms are 4, and the no longer around pole Skivvies were 7. I also think people should wear thongs under their shorts… Leg Avenue Spider Back Thong Works well and doesn’t cut into the sides of the body and look good if they poke out the top.

Oh, Light Active Wear looks great! How accurate is the size chart according to your experience, Ladies?
I usually wear L in Mika & Bad Kitty and a 10 in everyday life, but according to the Light Active Wear size chart I’d be a 6-8. -
Hmm, I cant compare to Mika or BK because Ive never owned any, but I have a 34 bust and the Elena and Amanda bra tops in size 4 fit me like a glove

Hi Tine,
I wear a M in badkitty bottoms, and a L in bad kitty tops, and I am a M/L in Mika and I wear a 6 in Light activewear bottoms and a 6-8 in tops – they are really quite forgiving clothing, and the ladies on the other end can verify exactly what size you would be if you want to send them your measurements. They can also help with suggestions with body type – ie, what tops give more support, what pants are higher or lower rise etc. Or I can, because I own a lot of their stuff teehee.

I have found some really cute side tie shorts at Walmart. They can end up being a bit cheeky but I don’t mind. Also I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but swimsuit bottoms can also be good pole shorts.
-
Oh Polemoves I’m with you on the crotch coverage LOL, I personally can’t wear swimsuit bottoms to pole in, not enough fabric for my ‘foufou’ I love Mika shorts, got some luna ones and betty ones and now they have new colours Im looking at some more LOL they are quite expensive but they wear and wash really well

I found my new fave pole shorts in the Bloch shop in London, they’ve also got a website. They’re soooo purple & stretchy, I love them!
Bloch design everything for ballet dancers so they stay put really well, I haven’t scared myself in the mirror yet.
