OK, I have been doing SM really good for a month now.  But since that time I have sever pain in the back of my shoulder…..I figured it is where the pole is up against my back before I lift.  And of course the initial pressure is greatest right when you start to go into the SM and the pressure is right there.  The top of the shoulder doesn't hurt, nor does my collar bone (since I don't roll over the collar bone), just the back part there along the side of the spine.  Could this just be a bruised muscled thing that will become tolerable over time the more I do them?

I had that happen to me too a couple months ago. It was a pulled muscle that was spasming because I had subluxed one of my ribs. You could go see an OMT or chiropractor and see what the suggest. I had a manipulation and a myofascial release and it went away

I did see chiro last week and he fixed it…..until I messed it up again.  Veena is thinking it is from inverting.  And now that I think of it I have been inverting on silks for about a month now.  So maybe that is the culprit!
