Side body/boob trouble?
Hey everyone!
So, I’ve been trying to get a few moves that require some side grip, either under the arm pit, or along the torso. I have a fairly short torso (especially in comparison to my legs) and large hips, so there isn’t a lot of room!
I’m curious… could my bra, and especially my sports bra, be getting in my way? I’ve seen so many ladies to moves like the scorpio/gemini with just their waist exposed, but their torsos seem to be in different positions than mine. There’s much more of a backbend kind of thing going on for them (getting the pole into their waist, just above the hip), leaving the side of the chest away from the pole. Ladies also seem to have a lot more back in contact with the pole when doing a teddy hold, and because my hips are so large and my torso so short, I don’t seem to have much actually ON the pole, other than that which is covered by a shirt or a sports bra.
I, however, don’t really have that much space between side-of-chest and the top of my hip. Like… an inch. Literally, an inch from hip to ribs.
So, should I be trying to take this into account, perhaps dancing in something (sigh) skimpier? Heck if I know how I’m gonna keep the boobs in line if I do that, but… if I need to learn, I’d rather be learning now!
