I can’t wait til tonight, either! I loved Natalie, too, and was so sad when she got the boot. She really is a beautiful dancer with awesome technique. But they were right in a way: it’s a competition show and EVERYTHING is being watched and during her group’s audition, she was kinda of "flat". When she was demonstrating, she really hit it and performed brilliantly. Maybe it was the energy of the choreographer because it was soooo obvious that she LOVED Natalie, which maybe gave Natalie more confidence? I was also sad to see the Japanese guy get let go. That guy has a ton of heart. And those brothers?! Aren’t they the greatest? The older one is such a talented choreographer. I hope they recognize that. They’re so cute. It also looks like the older of the blonde sisters is close to the chopping block. I think she’s incredible but she couldn’t get the choreography. In her defense, though, I took some classes with Mia in NY a million years ago (way before she was well known) and her stuff is HARD! It’s super expressive and at that point, totally unique. I remember not being able to count it out at all, and being lost every single time we turned, which was every other second. Oh, I’m so glad to be able to talk about this to you guys–my husband despises the show but he’s out of town this week!

OMG! You took classes with Mia? You are so lucky to be able to say that LOL, I think she’s amazing. Her dances always make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. She’s the bomb.
Her stuff does look hard though, I can’t imagine trying to do her choreography but I love watching others do it LOL

So excited to have a new season starting, I like those brothers…can’t remember their names, but they are good, I can totally see the older one in the top 20. OMG, I was soooooo disappointed in Mia Michaels when she told one of the Top 20 dancers that he "annoyed the sh$%" out of her. It was so unprofessional and I seriously couldn’t believe she’d be so rude https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_ncool.gif. I don’t get offended easily, but her outright meanness really bothered me.

I felt so bad at the end when they had to decide between the 2 brothers! I swear I almost cried. I was really hoping they’d make an exception and have 21 dancers. And it’s true: it was the older brother’s choreography that a) totally aced the younger brother’s audition, and b) got his "nerd" group through that round of cuts. He’s really talented at storytelling, which is soooo lacking in some dance. And I cried when they told the ballet dancer from Miami City Ballet that Eddie Villela wouldn’t let him out of his contract. He was incredible. I’m surprised that they didn’t cut the fun guy from NY, but he’s got so much potential (but no technique) and a ton of personality. As much as they rake Kaitlin (the older sister) over the coals, she’s gorgeous to watch. If she can take some more risks, she’s got a real shot. So everybody, who’s your favorite?

I KNOW!!!! I couldn’t believe it. And frankly, I don’t understand what she meant when she said that she couldn’t stand what he brought to the stage. Does anyone know what she’s talking about?

I totally agree with you! I was rooting for those brothers, they were my favorite of everyone, particularly the older brother. lol my bf and I were joking that they were going to leave the brothers until the end, and we couldn’t believe they did it, all in the name of drama I guess. The older brother is an ace at choreography, he has REAL talent and personality.
