Hi everyone, I’ve been doing pole for over a year now and never have had this problem before.

I am so slippery, on my body and my hands. It’s like I’m too dry or something as it’s not a sweaty type of slippery.

It’s really getting me down as I just did a pole competition and couldn’t even stay on the pole, I just slid right off! It’s only even the last month or so that I’ve noticed it happening, before this I was fine.

Any ideas? Could it be something I’m eating or not eating haha I have no idea!

Corn huskers helps me too but for some reason it helps me more when I do it the night before I pole. Good god it smells AWFUL though…dust bunny if you know of any non smelly corn huskers please share cuz maybe it’s just the brand I got. I’m going to try glycerine this year as some dry skinned polers have had success with that

Exfoliating really well is also super crucial!

Try this if you have dry skin and if you have to deal with cold poles! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgvvc2uvcFw

I have the same issue! But mine is from sweat. 🙁 It’s hard for me to practice at home because we try to keep the house cool. But that means the pole is cold. And if I try to warm it with my body, I have to really exert myself. Which makes my hands and body sweat. So when I can finally get on the pole, I can’t use it.

If I don’t try to warm it up and I’m starting up both me and the pole are cold and dry and I don’t stick either. I need the pole to be warm, and me to be cooler to actually really stick on the pole. I haven’t figured out the best way to do that yet.

And by same I mean, entirely different issue with the same final symptoms (can’t stick on pole) 🙂

I think normally my skin is dry which is why cold me + cold pole = no stick. But if you warm the pole I stick. But I sweat when I overheat which means dry + sweat = no stick either because I’m sloughing off skin like I’m a lizard person. XP I have no issues with this in everyday life, just pole.

Thank you so much lovely ladies!!! I am going to buy all the different products you suggested and get experimenting!

Itac and dry hands used to work well for me but now once the itac starts to get on the pole and I put my hand where the itac was, I start slipping everywhere!!

I’ve had luck with Pole Physics lotion. I put it on after my morning shower and I’m good to go when I teach in the evening. Per their recommendation, you’re supposed to use it 7-10 hrs prior to poling. So that’s what I’ve done. Not sure how well it works if you use it sooner than that time frame though. I got it at Pole Expo, but I know they have a website where you can order it.
I also love my , which I can put on right before poling. The “light” formula isn’t quite enough, so I stick with the “medium” level.
    Good luck Sister! 😘

    Hi Trixie!

Thanks for your help! I’ve actually been using the pole physics and it hasn’t been working for me… It used to which is frustrating! I just purchased the medium as per your recommendation… Hopefully that with the mighty grip as per veenas reccomendation will save me!!
