I’m still putting my pole room together, and I’m wondering what to do about the carpeting. I’m a renter, so I can’t make any permanent changes. But I’d certainly like to be able to use my (cherished) shoes and do floor work, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks 🙂

Duck tape on the soles. Use the search field, you’ll find many entries about this topic here 😊👍. I dance on carpet too (and I hate it).

    | Polekat | !! Are those interlocking pieces of flooring or is that one big slab of flooring that was rolled up? Errrr….how? Haha. Looks great!

It’s one big roll! It’s sort of vinyl / linoleum flooring, so it’s only a few mm thick but it’s pretty heavy so it lies nice and flat, the edges don’t roll up or anything. I just cut a slit and round hole where the pole would sit and then it fits around my pole really nicely =) plus it’s easy to lift / move, it just sits on top of my carpet. You can buy ‘offcuts’ cheap, check bathroom/home depot stores, I got mine at a local market, cost me around $15 – i love it!! helloooooo floorwork =D
I did notice that my heels left some black marks after toe drags, but they rubbed off easily, and i have since discovered that my pleasers don’t make any marks it was just a pair of regular black heels which did =)
