  Some music help

  Hey Ladies (and Gents)!

  I've got something specific that I need music for…and unfortunately, it's driving me a little crazy!

  I've got a burlesque show coming up, and while I have a theme and the rudiments of some dance I want to do, I don't have any music for it! I'm not very well versed in the huge varieties of music out there for this kind of thing…I don't even know what to search!

  So, I'm doing a pirate themed dance, and I'm pretty excited about it. It's about a pirate wench who finds treasure…it's all hiding in her clothing! So, the more I take off, the more gold I find 😉

  But, music is just one of those things I need, so I need help! And, I know we've got some burlesque dancers in here, as well as those who are VERY music savvy!

  So, help me out! Suggest songs, or things for me to search, or ask me questions…whatever!

  I'm hoping for something around 4-5 minutes long, and possibly without vocals. I find vocals aren't really awesome through new aged speakers if they're in old songs…it tends to be horribly loud. But, I'm open to suggestions, too!

  Roamy – That's a pretty good song, and it's got a really good tempo, but I don't know that it really fits the "pirate" theme, especially considering the vocals in it! However, I may keep it for another dance I'll one day do 😉

  Cushie Butterfield by Sting

  More by Madonna (very Broadway feel from the Dick Tracy soundtrack)

  Gold Digger by Kanye (or maybe there's a cover of this that's burlesque style?)

  Gold Dust Woman by Fleetwood Mac (lots of covers of this one, too)

  Lust by Bas Sheva

  Listen to Bitter:Sweet.  I am sure they probably have a song that would fit your theme.

  Thanks guys! I found a song to dance to 😉

  I was somewhat concerned that my dances may be too…sexy, or stripperish for the Burlesque stage, but you know what? I love Immodesty Blaize, and she does it all the time 😉

  Maybe I'ma do a little bit of burlesque in my pole dance videos one day, too!
