Today I didn't feel like taking the steamer out to clean my pole  because mine is a little awkward and had a thought and decided to give it a go.

I used a damp cloth in a glass bowl and added a few more drops of water and put it in the microwave to get it good hot and steamy. My microwave is a dinosaur and so, takes a little longer to cook anything. I think 2 minutes should work but again every microwave seems to be different and perhaps you may need to adjust more or less…

    I then put on gloves.

Carried the hot bowl with cloth in it to my pole and took the cloth up and was beautifully steamy and steam cleaned my pole.

This is also a cost effective way to do it for those who don't have a steamer.

Iron steam and a cheap shamwow from the dollar store gets everything off!

Checking in that I also have used the steam from my clothes iron, works great! Conair also makes a handheld garment steamer though that is really cheap, think $25 range and is perfect for the pole or for touching up clothes.
