Spinning or Static
Posted by mssoulpole on April 24, 2013 at 3:46 pmI'm a beginner and just got my pole in yesterday, my hubby will be putting it up this weekend. Can anyone tell me whether I should start training with the pole on static or spinning? and, I plan to purchase the training on this great site should I begin with 30 days, 60, or get a one year plan? any suggestions will help.

everyone has thier preferences,im new as well. i started in dec on static. its been good because im gaining the strength needed to hold the tricks together on spin..at least thats my theory!

ok, thanks for the reply I thought it might be better to start in static mode being new.

try spinny and static-
start w/ 30 days to try or if you are on a budget and then upgrade to a yr. once you find out you love it:)

Your best value will be the year, but a lot of members like the 30 day subscription too.
In the lessons you'll always start off with static as you progress you'll have spinning pole lessons mixed in there as well. All inverted moves are taught as static. Keep in mind that all lessons are place in order, so there's no guessing when it comes to what to do next. You might also want to try the 30 day take off program. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Start with static! And I would highly recommend the 1 year it is a really good price and value!

I am in with the crowd, static is the way to go IMHO. I feel it is a lot harder to try to hold on to a spinning pole (which is really focused on strength) than it is to work your way up to holds on a static. If you are already pretty strong then you could try spin, but most of us starting out need to build up to the strong holds that spinning pole requires. Besides that, when you're working on your strength it would be easier to keep control your moves and muscles engaged when you are not trying to worry about the momentum taking you around.
