And yes. It is not true that everyone can do it in 6 weeks. But the good thing about it is that it drove me to do this and stick to it because 6 weeks is a short time. And after seeing the progress I really don't want to stop working on my flexibility at all even if it takes longer. But sticking to a routine everyday is great. Can never be too flexible 😛

hi all,
i briefly read through the program. im def gonna start today, i do have a question though does anyone have suggestions or a website i can look at for box splits?

I started this two days ago, and think that even after the first day I was slightly closer to the floor on my good side. Now I just have to keep up with it! I'm super busy with full time work and full time college during the week, but am determined to get these pesky splits. I've only ever done them once, when i was about 10, after sliding in the rain during a game of tag. I slid to "base" in a beautiful front split LOL.
I cant touch the floor during a toe touch, without bending my knees, or do it while sitting. I think I'm the most inflexible person in the world! But working on it, I just hate stretching because I feel like I never get anywhere.
Hopefully I stick with it! I can get into a split position with shoes on so far, they help me slide into place. Goal is to be able to do it on carpet without shoes, and finally reach the floor- even if its only jazz splits 🙂

Kat….there are pictures of that earlier in this thread.

@Kat: The karate stance is a pain in the butt for me too. I can get it, but keeping balance isnt easy. I can really feel a stretch in that stance though.
I just finished the first week. Going to post some pictures in the progress thread, if I can figure out how to do it! I miss the old forums lol

Thanks Polekitten.
@Chem. the description in the program doesnt seem to match the pics. or at least they dont in my head. lol. thats why im a lil lost. should i just go with those pics? cuz they that stance makes sense to me. or try to do what the program tells u to do? any advice there would be great. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

The pics are a little off from the descriptions. I turn my front foot out about 45 degrees and then step back with my other foot and try to have that perpendicular to the front foot. Kind of like a plie squat but turning that back foot to face front and straightening the leg.

@ chem. thanks for breaking it down. i can def visualize that!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
