I was super excited to get my 2nd pole, hubby put it up and..dang it squeaks horribly on spin with any weight on it 🙁 The squeak seems to be coming from the center of the pole. My other pole is a pressure mount and doesn’t make any noise. The spin also doesn’t feel super free/fast. My ceiling is exactly 96″ and I adjusted the pole with the feet on to 97″. Is this normal or did I do something wrong?

Mine did that to find out that I didn’t push the button down far enough. It also might make a different when it’s on carpet.

They often make a squeak or rubbing noise, there’s nothing wrong with it. 🙂

Mine also did that- Mine is on carpet, I always push the button all the way down. HOWEVER, I’ve noticed that it has faded, or stopped, over time. Or else I just have stopped noticing it…
But, yep. Don’t worry about it!

Thanks for making me feel better! It bums me out a little though because it is so loud I can’t use it on spin while the kids are sleeping. Hubby is going to try some WD40 on it tonight.

lil mynx says not to use wd40 but liquid graphite instead. I would just try taking it down and putting it back up, that stops mine often.

Oh ok, I’ll let him know. The install manual says WD40.

Yeah, they left a comment here before saying to no longer use the wd40 lol so….It maybe time for them to update their info!
