So i bought a cheapo stainless steel pole and use it for working out but would love to progress and get some tricks down! ..however its so slippery after i get sweaty (i clean it ALoT an have tried grip aids) it gets too slippery.

So my real question is: is there any type of lacquer, paint, spray coating yal think i could do to help it stickier? Or better for friction?! Atleast until i can afford a brass or chrome pole

I do not think the cheap poles come in stainless. They are usually chrome. Does it look like an x pole knockoff or a play pole? Is it spring loaded?

Either way, i suggest you invest in a quality pole do you don’t hurt/kill yourself on a cheap one.

    What brand is it?

If its safe enough to use, you can slather corn huskers lotion on your body and put mighty grip or a rosin spray on your hands (I’d start with mighty grip.)

Not all stainless steel poles are the same! My Pole Danzer poles are stainless and the grip is fantastic, maybe even better than chrome for me. I've also been on a stainless steel Lil Mynx and would slide right down no matter what I tried. I would never have guessed that a metal can be so different. Perhaps different manufacturers use different percentage of alloys???
