oops, just found the info on the SV pole banner, it is 45MM, that's great! I had a 50MM before and it was a bit too big for my hands, so traded for an X-pole a few years back and haven't been able to do much with it. I really love the color and miss the grip of a PC.

Will 40mm be available anytime soon?

I saw the specifications only five option availability for SV and Lil Minx poles as 1) 8ft-9df and 2) 9ft-10ft pole height. What is your next best suggested option for ceiling heights of UNDER 8ft ? I believe my ceiling is 7’8″.

We can have the SV pole cut shorter at no cost. 🙂

How long is estimated arrival once the items ship to locations within the USA?

Once the pole ships it arrives within 5 business days but generally less. It depends heavily on where you live.

Sounds great. I have been using a static 50mm brass from platinum stages in the studio but wanted a spinning/static for at home use. My palms often sweat and I sometimes have difficulty holding the pole in the pit of my knee. I was a weary of powder coated poles so was thinking about getting a chrome x-pole xpert. But the VS sounds like it might be a great alternative.

My home was built in 1968. I believe the joists are 2×4 instead of 4×4. I’m currently about 160 pounds. What is the weight capacity for the pole? Will the joist support the pressure amount with my weight? Or can I reinforce with plywood across three joists (support screwfor pole in center joist)? What have you guys suggested for added security?

Chrome is NOT good if you sweat, go with Brass or Powder coated, these won’t be perfect, but much better then chrome. You’re well within the weight range for the SV pole and any other quality pole. I would contact Lil Mynx if you have questions about using reinforcement.

Thank you so much for your very prompt and knowledgeable replies Veena. I appreciate it. I will definetly Contact the manufacturing company with questions about permanent mounting options for the VS pole. I’m glad I came across the site advertisement and discussion threads. 🙂

With it being powder coated what can you use to clean it plan on getting one soon have x stage lit and believe its stanless steel could be wrong lol I was in such a rush to order and it was my first pole so didn’t want to wait for the brass. But find I slip alot so want to get the veena pole but don’t want to mess it up.also what is the normal height that it comes in since its one piece and add attachments.

Tigerlillies, have you tried Prince Grip Plus? The pole studio I go to uses it. Its better than Might Grip and Tite Grip. If you have used and like Dry Hands you’ll love Prince. Its from Prince Tennis.

I also found this thread on StudioVeena discussing grip and cleaning of the VS pole. Glad I did. I might have used alcohol since I’m used to using it for cleaning brass.

I am thrilled to hear about Prince Grip. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dry Hands and use it for other sports related stuff besides pole. I will have to check it out!

I have been cleaning my StudioV pole with off brand windex for a while and I just found out it has a small percentage of alcohol in it. Not nearly as much as rubbing alcohol normally does. Does normal Windex not have any alcohol? Or is it just not enough to matter?

Windex is fine it’s how I clean my SV pole, from what I’ve been told it’s the amount of alcohol in the cleaner that matters, so don’t use super strong straight up rubbing alcohol it can dull the finish of the SV pole. However I find I hardly ever need to just anything on my SV pole, I just use a clean towel and wipe everything off, I do not use much for grip aids on this pole, I just don’t need to. Steaming it is alway an option for deep cleaning too if you don’t want to use windex. 🙂
