Studios in Toronto?
Hey, Im moving to Toronto, Ontario in September and I’m looking for a studio to go to. Just from a basic Google search, I can see there is more than one. Does anyone know which one is the best one?
As a bonus for me, I do prefer using 45mm chrome and am looking for advanced classes. -

I have heard good things about both Brass Vixens and Aradia. I don’t know what poles either use but I don’t think you will be unhappy at either.

Pole Incorporated is my pole home when I’m in Toronto. 14ft 45mm chrome X-poles. Great location, great prices, lots of open pole time, sweetest owner ever. I never took class because I only used the space for my own personal practice, but I taught a few private lessons to some of the instructors. They were advanced polers, and seemed like they would make good instructors.

I agree with Phoenix! Pole Inc is awesome!! I live in Hamilton (about 45-60min away from Toronto) but I go to workshops and pole jams at Pole Inc and everything Phoenix says is true 🙂

There are regular pole jams that happen from early spring through to the fall at various studios – you can find the group on Facebook (Ontario Pole Jams). It’s organized by Joni – she’s on Veena too 🙂

Thanks guys! I checked out Pole Inc, it looks awesome. Would you happen to know if it would be a huge commute from the University of Toronto?

Not a huge commute, but it can be annoying. You’re looking at a subway ride + streetcar + walk…probably at least 30 minutes if you’re right at the southeast edge of campus, longer if you’re anywhere else and if there are any TTC delays. The closest studio to campus is probably Brass Vixens as there’s frequent service on the Spadina/Bathurst streetcar lines. I’ve never poled at either studio as I only got into pole after moving out of there, but I went to UofT and lived in the annex for many years.

I also recommend Pole Inc! Agree with everything already stated. From Pape Subway station you can take the Pape bus right to the door of the studio.
