To be honest, I’m not sure. Trying to keep your pole room warm is probably just your best bet until spring gets here. Even then, when I have my space heater running out by my pole, it seems like it just cools off so much more quickly. Probably because the rest of the apartment is still cold even though there’s this pocket of warm air around the pole where the heater has been running. It sounds like other people have trouble keeping the room warm enough in the winter too, though, whether their heater is going or not. I keep a microfiber cloth on hand and just wipe down my pole constantly during the rare occasions it’s actually warmed up a little.

Gah! I feel your pain!!! Ever since it’s gotten colder, I can’t work on any of my moves! (Even my pole sit is hard to do when my hands keep flying off the pole ><) I can’t wait for Spring, especially since my lazy boyfriend made me put my pole RIGHT NEXT TO THE WINDOW (which he LOVES open) so it’s even harder to warm it up :/

Thank you , thank you, thank you! ALL of you who remind me with posts of these rants as to why I live is Las Vegas! I’m b*tching about our 50 degree weather. Oops! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

Hey,last night I fired up my clothes steamer, shut the door to my upstairs pole room, unwrinkled a couple of outfits and my pole was perfectly warm and grippy!!! I ended up having a great session! Take THAT cold, dry winter–HA!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif

Ok, what exactly is a clothes steamer? Are you talking about an iron? I’m thinking I might need one of these.
Trixie, I can’t say I feel too horrible for you. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Clothes steamer *head smack* I’ve been using this little, sad frog humidifer I used when the kid’s were babies. You, Mrs.Poleophile are a genius! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

So humidity helps with grip? If so, than I’m thinking I need to invest in a humdifier or one of these fabric steamers. Speaking of which, where would I find one? Fabric stores? The housewares section of Fred Meyers? I have no clue where to look.
