Hello all! I've been coming to this site for a few months now and reading threads but this is my first post. Glad there is a pole community like this where we can all come together 🙂 I thought maybe one of you on here could help me. I've been able to get into a superman/superwoman now for 8 months or so, in various ways (pike, gemini, side layout or what is popularly known as the "jasmine", etc) but even though getting into the move is no problem, my severe case of sweaty hands makes it so that I can't hold the move for more than a few seconds and always feel as if I'm going to fall out of it. It's so frustrating! I've been practicing it for SO LONG that the skin on the inside of my thighs no longer hurt and I could probably hold it for hours if my stupid hand didn't slip off each time.

Should I maybe try and grab higher? Lower? Any tips or advice at all would be appreciated…for reference I train on a 50mm lil mynx stainless steel at the studio and at home but I also own a 45mm stainless steel. I feel more secure when it's on a skinnier pole (naturally) because my hands are also very small and none of my fingers touch at all when on a 50 so my grip feels even less secure. My hands literally glisten when there is even the tinest bit of prespiration on them. My fingertips even sweat, lol.

Hello and welcome. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gifSo it sounds like the issue is sweaty hands? I'm not big on using grip aids but have you tried using Dry Hands or Vinegar to try the hands? Also there are gloves you can buy, some with tack and some without. There are several threads on sweaty hands that might help you find a product too.

Hi Carissa. Like Veena said, gloves are a great thing to have to practice moves. I have a pair and I love them I have sweaty hands as well. I've used Dry Hands and some other grip aids, but I recently purchased Dirty Girl Poletice and it has been a Godsend. Not only does it work great, but you rinse it off before using the pole so there is zero residue on the pole. You can find it on DIRTGIRLPOLETICE.com. The ris a video that shows you how to use it.
