Sweaty Hands
Posted by Native Sun on November 10, 2012 at 5:13 pmI have REALLY SWEATY hands! Can someone suggest some solutions? I have noticed sites that have the mighty grip gloves and the stuff you can put on your hands, but I don't want to waste money and time on things that don't work.

What works for me personally is a layer of Tite Grip (it's technically antiperspirant, not "grip aid") applied to the hands 30 mins before poling, plus another layer of Prince Grip Plus (a gel-like silica-based tennis grip enhancer) applied right before. I used to apply the Prince Grip to the pole as well, but I have found that I get the best grip when I just clean the pole with alcohol and only apply the grip to my hands.

I have found that I don't like to use grip aids because they get all over the pole. There are 2 things that work for me. One is Dove Clinical Strength Anti-Perspirant. It sits on my nightstand. I rub a layer on my hands and fingers before I shut off the light. Rinse it off in the morning. You need to use it for about 4 nights in a row when you first start to use it. After that, I use it about twice a week. My hands used to sweat just holding my husband's hand. Now it doesn't! Another product I love is called Dirty Girl Poltice. It is a product that you put on your hands before you pole. You let it dry and then rinse it off with water. Works great! This product also exfoliates, so it can make your hands soft. In my opinion, I like DGP in the summer when I'm sweatier. For winter I like the Dove because it doesn't make my hands too soft. Hope this helps!

I made this thread after accidently cumin across it. Helped a few others with grip problems aswel. XX -
"I agree with Saphyre. This may seem strange coming from a grip aid company but without a doubt, Dirty Girl Poletice is THE item for excess perspiration problems from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head, including your face (make up problems caused by oily skin). It does take a few minutes to apply but is better than Botox injections and lasts for hours. Once properly applied (it does take about 3-4 minutes) you can use any grip aid or gloves over the product.
I took some with me to both England and Brazil and sold out of the product within one hour. The comments were absolutely fantastic. You can purchase the product on our web site or directly from Dirty Girl Poletice. As an introductory pricing point we are offering free shipping for your first purchase. Just use the coupon code DG1 when ordering on line."

I cannot agree with Joel more! I love DGP! I got to test it in it's infancy and even then it was pretty good. I like that I'm not sweaty or dry and it leaves a bit of tack on my hands. I tend to still require an anti perspirant because I am SO sweaty but this does my hands pretty good and I have been able to cut down on the chemicals I am using.
On a side note – my cat seems to like it too – I can use it and he doesn't smell me and run away!

aw thanks guys!
Charley, I think you may have my old formulation! I have changed it just a teeny bit (added magnesium to it) in the last few months and made better, at least, I like to think so 🙂 I'll have to get some to see if you notice a difference. Especially cumulatively over period of days.
Oh and yes, Joel is also correct on the face oil issue. You can use it as a facial mask to help decrease the oil production and help calm acne and other skin issues (keeps my dermatitis in check).
Someone also told me works great after shaving her bikini line to calm the rash! 🙂

I will have to grab the new version from MG when I get my ankel protectors 🙂 I have a bottle from midwest but that was from August – which forumla is that?

Oh an one more thing about DGP – I found the MORE I used it *daily* the less sweaty my hands were – the only times I really suffer grip problems is when I am very hormonal at this point – I've been able to track it.

hmm, I think you may have the old formula, that is right around the time I started to play with the formulation. The final formulation came at the end of Sept.
Yea, those darn hormones are hard to beat! lol

Hi guys,
Joel, would you be able to give me the link to buy the Dirty Girl Poletice from your site? I cannot seem to find it on your Mighty Grip website.
I would like to compare to see how much of a price difference it will be for me in AUD compared to what Pole Fitness World is selling for + $6.20AUD shipping fee…
http://polefitnessworld.com/dirty-girl-poletice.htmlIt will come to $22.70AUD for a bottle of Dirty Girl Poletice for me from the above link.
I'm wondering what your prices are like?
Thanks heaps!
