Calling all Veener's in Sydney! My husband has to travel to Sydney in March, and I'm tagging along with him. (The sacrifices we make, I know https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif) He will be working everyday, while I will just be going to play

I would love to meet some of you while there. We'll be staying at the InterContinental March 16th-23rd. I have NO idea where that is in relation to anything there, as this will be my first trip to Australia. I would love sight-seeing tips, or even a tour guide if one of you is up for showing me around. And of course, I'd love to be able to pole while I am visiting.

while you're there you should totally get a lesson with Jamilla. She is an amazing instructor and you'll get a lot out of it.

Oh I'm in Newcastle (which is about 2 hours north of sydney!) You should totally do a day trip to my town (which has amazing beaches) but I also work in Sydney so I'm there a fair bit. Send me an email if you want to get in touch 🙂 It's mailto:nlojszczyk@hotmail.com

I've already contacted Jamilla and Bobbi. I hope to get a lesson with both of them while I am there. I couldn't be more excited!

Any suggestions on "must see's", places to go, things to do, places to eat?

Haha, apart from Bobbi's Pole Studio in the city on Elizabeth Street, Sydney is a great place to visit!
I've lived here for nearly 15 years and I still haven't done all the tourist attractions here in the city!

    Places to see/do/eat:
    1. Harbour Bridge (do the climb if you can! It's a great view and quite an exhilarating experience!)
    2. Sydney Tower climb – there's also a rotating restaurant as well!
    3. Hurricane's Grill restaurant – best ever pork ribs! There's a store in Bondi and Darling Harbour! Be prepared for the queues! Book if possible!
    4. Opera House
    5. Manly Beach
    6. Bondi Beach
    7. Botanical Gardens
    8. Darling Harbour
    9. The Ivy night club (I work opposite there!)

Some of the things listed there I have never even done myself! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I hope you enjoy your stay here! Sydney's gorgeous during Summer!

If you're an arty farty type like me, you'll love the Art Gallery of New South Wales, which is near the Botanical Gardens/Circular Quay/Opera House. You should try and check all of these out! A ferry ride across Sydney Harbous is the best way to view the Operan House and the beautiful views… plus its fun! You can catch a ferry across the harbour to Luna Park (if ur into Theme parks) or catch a ferry to Watsons Bay and have lunch at Doyles Seafood Restaurant on the beach – its stunning and delicious, plus historically interesting – It was Australia's very first fish n chips shop, way back in the 1800's! (I used to work there as a waitress – not in the 1800's, lol, just a fwe years ago :P)

I grew up in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney (where the famous Bondi beach is located). Dont just visit Bondi, as it can get uncomfortably crowded. Bronte, Clovelly and Coogee beaches are just as beautiful, and less touristy. There is a coastal walk you can do from Bondi to Coogee and back which offers AMAZING views over the Pacific Ocean… its about a one hour walk, so its a good workout too! I highly recommend it 🙂 Just ask one of the locals to point u in the right direction, everyone knows about it.

Hyde Park is really beautiful, as is St Mary's Cathedral (near Hyde Park and the Art Gallery of NSW).

Glad to hear you have already booked in at Bobbi's Pole Studio! Thats where I trained – they are amazing teachers who really know their stuff and are soooo friendly. You'll have a blast! My favorite teachers were Chilli (very vivacious and confident) and Isabella (quiter but very sweet). Cleo is also fantastic, and she came runner up to Felix Cane in Miss Pole Dance Austalia 2011. So she is extremely talented too. 🙂

If you're in the mood for some retail therapy, Bondi Junction's Westfield is HUGE and offers everything… For Pole STuff, go to highheels.com on Elizabeth st, Surry Hills (you can walk up the hill from Central Train Station).

Hope this helps…. have a great time! 🙂
