I was wondering if anyone here teaches dance/fitness classes from home and if so if you could give me any tips advice as far as any special permits etc that would be required. I would really appreciate any help, ty in advance! 🙂

I know from experience that home owners insurance will not cover for teaching pole fitness within the home.

You’ll need to talk with someone in your area to find out about insurance. Also make sure to check out the Veena Method Training Course! https://www.studioveena.com/methods/letter

You need to get Pole insurance. If you teach other classes, aerial, you need additional insurance as well. You should also get a certificate in CPR and make sure you have all your students sign a waiver and photo waver.

Try looking into local gyms, dance studios, or yoga studios to find a space you can rent to operate out of. I did this when I first started out and eventually took over the space when the business I was subleasing from had to close. I started out with a very low overhead and was able to build my clientele. I had a lot of Yoga studios that were interested but I was focused on a specific location and the one yoga studio I was interested in had carpet flooring.
